The Community Volunteer Fire Company District 12, Fairplay, Md is back in service and responding to emergency calls.

Our Story

Our first year in service we were alerted to 410 calls.

We are under great new leadership and always looking to add to our ranks with new fire certified responders, untrained persons that would like to become certified in Fire/EMS and Active Social members who would like to assist with fundraising.

Please stop by the station for an application or send a message to have one emailed to you. Exciting things are happening in Fairplay and we would like all in our community to help us with that! Stay posted to this page for exciting news and information of fundraising efforts.

Fund Drive

Our 2023 mailing has been sent.  Your donations help us maintain the station and equipment, that we, as volunteers, use to provide emergency services when you need us most.  We hope we can count on you to take a few minutes to donate online or send us a donation. Thank you for your support!

New Tanker 12

What an exciting day for Company 12 as we welcome home our brand new apparatus, Tanker 12!  With 505hp and 3000 gallon water capacity, this new tanker is a critical addition to our fleet.  It replaces our prior front line response tanker, a 1980 Pierce with just 1500 gallon capacity, that had the ominous distinction of being the oldest tanker in Washington County at 41 years old.  While most of the expense was covered through a grant, our Company was required to contribute 5% of the expense and we sincerely appreciate the community donations that helped us achieve this milestone.  A huge thank you to our Tanker Committee led by Mark Kopp and including Cory Lescalleet, Chad Clipp, Bob Asper, Roy Lescalleet and Scott Beckley.

New Tanker

We are eagerly awaiting the completion of our new tanker.   We will be inspecting the apparatus in late January.  Our Tanker Committee has done a terrific job on this project and we are excited to share the details with the community as soon as the tanker is complete.
